Cvetan Gavrovski was born in 1947. He is a Doctor of Science in Electronics and a full professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the state “St. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje, R. Macedonia. Art photography is his preoccupation for over thirty five years. He has participated in more than a hundred and fifty group exhibitions at home and abroad.

Gavrovski is the author of ten one-man exhibitions (Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and Germany). In magazines and daily newspapers he published reviews about art photography. He has won several major awards for photography at international exhibitions. He was a jury member in several international exhibitions under the patronage of FIAP (The International Federation of Photographic Art). He prefers black and white photography. For the last ten years, he exhibits color photos, too. For him art photography is only visual means of expression.
He represented the Macedonian photography at the FIAP world biennial in China 1997, Switzerland 1999, Italy 2001, Hungary 2004, Luxemburg 2004, China 2006, Slovakia 2008, Ireland 2009.
He was the President of Photo Association of Macedonia in the period from 1985 to 1999 and from 2002 to 2009 and now he is FIAP L.O. for Macedonia. In Andora, at the 23rd FIAP Congress in 1995, Gavrovski represented his country Macedonia, and he contributed Macedonian Photo Association to become a representative of national art photography in FIAP.
Gavrovski is holder of Master of Photography Distinction in the Photo Association of Macedonia.
